Hugo Blocks

The largest rockwool block. 6 x 6 x 6 inch Growing blocks with 1-1/2 inch hole for smaller cubes. Used for growing real big plants. These cubes work best with a drip system. In a flood system the top half can dry out quickly and lead to salt buildup so rinse with water or Clearex often. The blocks are individually wrapped in plastic on four sides to hold moisture and stop alga growth.

The base of each block is grooved for drainage. Holes in the center for the 1.5 inch cube. One cube. The “Hugo” block is Grodan’s best seller as the size makes it ideal for all the moisture and nutrition requirements of a mature fruiting plant. Great for Flood/Drain and Drip systems, the “Hugo” blocks have precut holes to facilitate transplanting plants started in rooting cubes/plugs.

Grodan 6” Rockwool Hugo Blocks have a pre-drilled hole of 40mm and will fit SBS cubes, Root Riots and Jiffy Peat Pellets. – Grodans answer to a pot. – Ideal for flood and drain, drip irrigation or use them alone for passive growing.
